*Origin of Thanksgiving Day*

I am going to talk about the origin of Thanksgiving Day. Do you know the history of Thanksgiving Day? It is an important event for American people like Obon for Japanese people. This reason is in the history. The first Thanksgiving of America was cerebrated in autumn in 1621. It was a gesture to thank God to help them for strict winter. It was also to thank the American Indians. December 26th 1620, Pilgrim Fathers came from Britain to Plymouth state of Massachusetts in America riding the Mayflower ship. They were puritans. Many people died at that time, because it was a hard winter and difficult things happened. In there, Pilgrims and his friends helped the American Indians. The American Indians taught them agriculture and how to hunt. They could survive that winter because of the Indians, so they invited the Indians at the first harvest festival. It was the origin of Thanksgiving Day. George Washington declared it is holiday in 1789.

*Autumn Festival*

Do you know Munich Oktoberfest in Munich in German? I have just known. Oktoberfest is a very large festival. It will have been pasted 200 years from 1810. There are 600 people from around the world. In there, people drink a lot of beer and eat a lot of chickens. “Oktober Beer” is made for this festival specially. It is held in Theresienwiese. It is very large place. There are many tents, 6000~7000 seats and more seats in outside. It is held moving amusement park, live of brass band and Oktoberfest Parade in there. It looks really exciting. People who are in Oktoberfest wear a folk costume of Bavaria. Women wear airy dress of check, stripes or flower’s prints. Men wear half pants made of leather. Their costumes change every year. I think it’s very interesting, because many of costumes in Japanese festivals don’t change. I’m interested in costumes of the world, and I like clothes. I can’t drink beer yet, but there are a lot of enjoyable events. I really want to go there. If I am twenty years old, I absolute go to there with my friends. I think this festival is really fantastic! You should go there too.

*My Favorite Movie*

My recommended movie is “Tada Kimi wo Aishiteru”. This is a Japanese movie. It’s a love story of collage students. There is a girl; her name is Shizuru, she loves a man. His name is Makoto. He didn’t love her at first, but he becomes to have interest of her. She has a disease whose will die if she loves. One day, suddenly, she disappeared somewhere. He was surprised, because he didn’t know her disease. He went looking for her, but he will know unbelievable things there…

I think that this movie is a very sad movie, but it made me warm. I like this movie very much. There are a lot of reasons. First, Shizuru who is main character in this movie is a really cute girl, because she is active, and she is straight for her hope. When I watch her, I become thinking that I want to try any things, and I want to contact to people kindly. Makoto who is main character too is a kind man. I like character in this movie. Second, they took a lot of pictures in there. I like pictures, so I felt very interest. Finery, she big changed in there. She looked like a girl at first, and she changed a woman. She has a disease. If she grows, she dies by her disease. So she couldn’t be a woman because of it, but she wanted to be a woman to be loved him. In other words, she decided to die by disease for being loved him. I was really impressive. I so cried, when I watched it. She has a beautiful heart. I want to have a beautiful heart like her.

There are good cast. Aoi Miyazaki played Shizuru, Hiroshi Tamaki played Makoto, and so on. I think they matched for their roll. Main song is “Renai Shashin” by Ai Otsuka. She is a very popular singer in Japan. A book, it’s named “Renai Shashin”, became this movie. It’s written by Takuji Ichikawa. His other books also became a movie such as “Ima Aini Ikimasu”.

I think it is a really good movie. If you want to feel impressive, cry, be warm, and feel love, you should watch this movie! I so recommend it!
